We stop at Oasis every chance we get while travelling in the area. Their green chili is superb.
Yes.
Green chili briuto

Good food, good service, clean restroom, reasonable prices
Stayed the night. Was a great place. Old school feel but clean. The service was amazing. Could use some updates but might pull from that old town feel. We ate at the restaurant at the motel and it was good. Cafe style food, friendly wait staff, nothing to special though. Over all, we will be back if we come through again.
Stopped in to eat while traveling through with family. Very nice staff and good food.
We were looking for a place to eat around 4:30 and the few places in town weren't open yet & didn't feel like going to Denny's so tried the Oasis & it's our new fav!! Variety of food that's hot & flavorful. Pictured is my green chili sopapilla. Waitress was really nice & great to visit with. Full dinner for two under $20. We're going back for breakfast. Highly recommend over Papas Sweet Shop.
Good food at a reasonable price
Hamburger Steak dinner a real good choice, ask for onions service was perfect not over bearing dinner with my family, or by yourself they will treat you good! PS this is homestyle cooking, so don't go and expect anything fancy! This is where the locals go!
Our food was tasty, and the sopapillas were amazing!! Staff was very friendly as well.
Great service would go again and great food!
Google says closed while they are open. One of my favorite restaurants of all time. Delicious food at a great price. Very relaxed atmosphere. I will stop here every time I'm in Raton even if I'm not hungry. LOVE IT!!!
Was not impressed at all .I had hearhard as a rocd good things about their mega burger .the burger was dry and the fries were
Clean hotel and great food and service at the restaurant. Everyone was super friendly. The staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service to my husband and I. And what a great, spacious room with beautiful, peaceful views!!
8-2019Disclaimer: our waiter was new and they were short handed in the kitchen. I think on another visit the stars would be higher. They were super friendly. We went to this restaurant after two separate people suggested it while we were filling up at a nearby gas station. One said the smothered burrito was his favorite. That is why we expected a Mexican restaurant but it is more of a cafe or home cooking place. The locals were loving all of it. We are from For Worth Tx and the dishes were just not what we were expecting. When they say red chili sauce they mean it. It was red chili. On the other hand the green chili sauce was not green or spicy. Also surprising was the fact the chips and salsa were fresh. The cook cut up and fry them, right then! Fresh! The Sopaillas are also made fresh.
Oh my God diner Burger to die for great great customer service easy access on and off the road and just a delightful place
Nothing fancy but clean and cozy plenty for me and very nice people
Perfect place to charge electric vehicles friendly staff and great food
Step back into time and away from chain restaurants and enjoy a delightful meal in a wonderful environment with lots of windows overlooking the mountains.
Biscuits and gravy is my favorite
the food was very good had a great diner Burger lots of other stuff on the menu as well, only ate there did not stay at the hotel
Food was great. Service was good. Nice stop on a road trip
RESTAURANT A+++House made burger was great. Fresh and good. Hand cut fries very tasty as well. Very quick service. Clean and reasonably priced.
Great new mexican food! Our waiter was very attentive and they had really good prices and portions! The red chile is the best in my opinion!
Nice place just a few minutes off the highway. Ate a late dinner, and I should have listened to the wait staff. “Burgers and the beef sandwich” she said. Of course, I ordered a steak which was good but my guest raved about the beef sandwich for the next 6 hours of driving. Rule 6 of dining out: LISTEN TO THE WAIT STAFF!
Best hot roast beef sandwich I've had in many many years. This is an old-fashioned Diner with a menu to match. The view of Raton Pass is spectacular.Update!!!!!Had the Enchiladas that every good New Mexico dinner should have an the menu. The were very good and the red sauce was even better.
If you want a burger grt the Oasis burger. It is a fresh hand made party not a frozen patty. A good local diner.
Not Clean but Not Nasty; Local fav; Food & Staff 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Excellent service. Food was great. Very clean. Obvious favorite of many locals. Thank God we chose to pass on the steakhouse.
Delicious breakfast! I'd post a picture, but the Huevos Rancheros were eaten before I remembered :)
Nice little place we stopped for breakfast was a great experience
No. Just no. Had chicken fried steak, very chewy, awful salad with about a half cup of water in it, roll drenched in oil. My stomach started to hurt 10 minutes later, am still paying for it a day later.
Stopped in on our way back to Texas. Loved their burgers! Great service.
Nostalgic diner with old school vibe. The food was simple but in a good way. I had the smothered green chili burger which was served open face. Be sure to drive through town and count all the old motels. This town must have been something back in its hay day.
Soup-Salad-Baked Tater-Shrimp. Yum. Great service
Our breakfast stop on our way out of town after a week at the Whittington Center. I had the special Breakfast Stuffed Sopaipilla. A great choice if you can go take a post breakfast nap, it was huge! They are not stingy with the green chili sauce either. We will be back next year but more careful to order the lighter and more road worth dishes.
This is exactly what every neighborhood needs. A true Family Restaurant! Great food and Great People. They treated us out of towners just like the regular customers/their friends and neighbors. If you are passing through Raton or close, The Oasis Restaurant is a must stop! Don't forget to get the Pie. It's just like the Pie your Grandma makes or made. ♥️
I got eaten alive in the bed. Door handle was jacked up and we almost got trapped in the room. Water pressure was nice and super hot, and aside from whatever bug was there, the bed was pretty comfy 😕
I stopped here for breakfast and enjoyed huevos rancheros. Service was good with steady refills on my coffee. I liked it well enough to also stop for supper when I passed back through. It had a pleasant old-time diner atmosphere. I'd gladly go back.
Great home feeling place to stay. Nice gentleman even walked me to my room. Who does that these days. Great food at restaurant too. Best place I stayed on my 10 day road trip. Love it I’ll be back.
Comfortable and very clean. Nice retro place to stay.
Coming from Houston Texas and driving by we decided to eat. The reviews were high so we eat there and the food was not. my fiance ordered an enchilada and it didn't look tasty he said I got better once they got into the inside of it but the color was not the traditional enchilada it was covered with gravy that look Gray. I had a club sandwich and it was okay. In all it kept us from starving after driving hours. The people were nice. This seems like a restaurant that is intended for people that are driving by and I don't know where they're driving by because those reviews were so high so maybe the people doing the reviews come from small towns and are used to unflavored food.
I was disappointed after reading everyones reviews. I went in for lunch. I had a cheeseburger, fries and tea. Burger was dried out. Never was asked if I wanted a refill on my tea. I wanted to try something new for me. I would have been better off at McDonald's.
Old fashioned diner! Not a chain operation! Great homemade food
We pulled in here to the restaurant late in the evening after a long day of driving on Dec. 22nd unaware that it was closing time. The New Mexico style food was lovely, and my youngest loved her Belgian waffle. The owner's daughter was a delightful and cheerful server! We enjoyed ourselves so much that after finishing another long day of driving on our return trip, we repeated our visit on the evening of Dec. 31st grateful that they were still kind and the food was just as wonderful the 2nd time around. Each of us loved what we had so much that we all ordered the same things again, and our server this time was also very friendly even at the end of a long day.
Great tacos best since I left AZ.1 my wife had a philly steak sandwich which was very tasty and tender. Will make this a stop each time we travel near.
I had the chorizo breakfast burrito smothered in green chile gravy and a side if crispy hashbrowns. The best thing I ate on my road trip! This place is a beautiful throw back to the golden age of travelling America by automobile. No, it is not a 5 star hotel, and the diner doesn't serve sushi, thank God! I grew so tired of expensive pretty foods on our trip that a down to earth smothered burrito became one of my fondest memories. I actually commemorated that meal this morning at home by whipping it up myself. It's real unpretentious food served the way they do in New Mexico, it's not your familiar TexMex, but in my opinion wonderful. If I'm ever in Raton again, I'll be there.
The food was Very good had the chicken tenders with white gravy. Service was really slow with not that much customers but acted like they had a full house. I'll eat here again mabe they were having a bad day.
I like stopping at small restaurants like this when were on the road! Homestyle food, basic setting, slow pace and enjoyable. It's worth the stop to beat going to your typical drive thru.
Wonderful little place with that cozy diner feel and delicious home cooking. Home made desserts are the best!
Arrived just after lunch. Told to seat ourselves which we did. We chose a table right by the kitchen that all staff passes as they go in and out. Sat for five minutes before waitress dropped of 2 menus as she passed by. 2 local couples got seated and waited on during this time as they were greeted by staff when they arrived. Waited another 10 minutes with no one stopping so we got up and left. Again no one said a word. We are a normal middle class couple. It appears they favor locals over travelers. We we wont be back.
Very good food, friendly staff. Loved the sopapillas!
We ordered take out. I arrived earlier than the order was ready. I asked if I could sit down and wait. The waitress told me to sit where I wanted as the back of restaurant had nobody there. I was enjoying the view as I waited. I was there for 2 minutes, when the waitress asked me to move to seat a couple. There were booths behind me, with at least another 20-30 empty chairs. I moved. Right to my truck and left town mortified. Never in my life have I been disrespected. I will never show my face in the Oasis again. 7 years. Been going to this place. NEVER AGAIN
